Professional Referrals
Central Coast Behavioral Center welcomes referrals from physicians, psychologists, psychiatrists, probation departments, attorneys, schools, Regional Centers, residential treatment programs, and other community professionals seeking outpatient therapy for adolescents and adults with complex behavioral, developmental, or mental health needs.
Dr. Scott Elmore provides collaborative, evidence-based treatment while maintaining open communication with referral sources, families, and multidisciplinary treatment teams whenever clinically appropriate and authorized by the client.

Collaborative Care
Many clients benefit from coordinated treatment involving multiple professionals. When clinically appropriate and authorized by the client, Dr. Elmore works collaboratively with physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, probation officers, schools, attorneys, case managers, residential providers, and other treatment professionals to support continuity of care and improve clinical outcomes.
Professional Background
Dr. Elmore holds a Doctorate in Clinical-Forensic Psychology and has spent more than a decade working with adolescents and adults presenting with highly complex behavioral and developmental needs.
His clinical experience includes extensive work with justice-involved youth, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, aggression, trauma, impulse-control disorders, and problematic sexual behaviors. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with families and multidisciplinary treatment teams to develop individualized treatment plans that balance compassion, accountability, and practical behavioral change.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Elmore also worked with individuals experiencing serious and persistent mental illness, providing experience with some of the most complex presentations encountered in community mental health.

Professional consultation is available regarding treatment planning, behavioral concerns, complex case conceptualization, and coordination of care. Consultation may be appropriate for physicians, therapists, attorneys, schools, community agencies, and other professionals seeking clinical input regarding complex behavioral presentations.

If you would like to discuss a potential referral or determine whether a client may be an appropriate fit, please contact Central Coast Behavioral Center. Whenever possible, referrals will be responded to promptly, and coordination with referral sources is welcomed when clinically appropriate.
